Hello! My name is Melissa Hardaway and this is the start of my 8th year teaching at Lockhart High School.  I teach Professional Communications (Speech), Debate 1-3, Psychology and Classical Films.  I am the co-coordinator of UIL Academics, the director of UIL Speech & Debate events, Student Council and Senior Class '17 co-sponsor.  I am originally from Bossier City, Louisiana.  I graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA with a degree in Speech Education.  I taught for 2 years in Louisiana, then received my Master's degree in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University.  I love teaching at LHS and strive to create a safe and fun learning environment for all my students!  Please email me with any questions or concerns you may have:
