Deanna Juarez, Principal

Mrs. Deanna Juarez has successfully served as principal of Clear Fork Elementary for the past 6 years. Mrs. Juarez has established a strong culture of academic excellence and under her leadership, Clear Fork has outperformed schools throughout the state.

Mrs. Juarez led the Clear Fork team to such great academic performance that it has met and exceeded all of the new accountability standards, received an academic distinction in closing the performance gaps and obtained distinctions by attaining greater than expected student growth in both English Language Arts and Mathematics. Additionally, the Clear Fork team has performed in the top quartile in Writing and the culture of high expectations is clearly visible in the daily actions of all of the teachers and staff. Under the leadership of Mrs. Deanna Juarez, Clear Fork has celebrated many academic accolades and they have overcome the challenging demands of the new state accountability system and the STAAR exams.

Mrs. Juarez has a wealth of experience in Lockhart schools as a 5th grade teacher at Lockhart Intermediate and 2nd grade teacher at Navarro Elementary School. She has gained the respect of students, parents, teachers and staff, as well as educational leaders. Due to her successful track record and hard work ethic, she has ascended through the administrative ranks by serving Navarro Elementary for 6 years as an Assistant Principal and most recently at the helm of Clear Fork Elementary. Her diverse experiences as an instructional leader in conjunction with her strong ties to the Lockhart community, have fully prepared Mrs. Deanna Juarez to lead Lockhart High School.

“Lockhart High School will be in great hands under the leadership of Deanna Juarez,” LISD Superintendent Trevino said, “Deanna has led Clear Fork Elementary to extraordinary academic improvement and I have no doubt that she will continue to be a great leader.”

Mrs. Juarez is a proud graduate of Lockhart High School, she has acquired a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwest Texas State and a Masters in Educational Administration at Texas State University.
